Ever since I was young, I’ve had an interest in making things. I expressed my creativity by drawing, building Lego models, and making stop-motion animations. As I grew, my skills improved, and I gained resources and knowledge that gave me new ways of creating.
I developed an interest in storytelling, and found that my art, animations, and short live-action videos were a great medium for the stories I wanted to tell. I love narrative movies, video games, and music because they bring a new dimension to age-old methods of storytelling.
My college experience has opened new opportunities to create, both in the form of new software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Animate CC), and through the exploration of different styles and techniques. In addition to 2-dimensional art, I’ve learned the basics of 3D modeling and animation in Autodesk Maya, though I prefer 2D animation for its more personal look and feel.
As I move forward in my education and my life, I look for new inspiration and ideas. I hope that through the things I make, whether it be an illustration, animation, or design, I can give people a glimpse of life that they might not otherwise see.
